In the early days, before Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (CFLs) were readily available, CFL sales were a highly effective energy saving and educational initiative for the Thetford Energy Committee. The TEC used its table at the annual town meeting to sell CFLs, distribute literature on saving energy and included hands-on displays from the Vermont Energy Education Program.
